New Registration of Individual for Income Tax (Resident) via Iris

  1. Navigate to Iris Login Page.
  2. Go to Registration for Unregistered Person on the login page and enter the following fields in the correct format:
        • CNIC number
        • Name (First, Middle, and Last)
        • Cell No. (Must be registered on your name)
        • Email address

 

  1. You will receive “PIN codes” on your provided “Cell No.” and “Email Address”.

  1. Enter the PIN codes that are received on your registered phone and email into the relevant fields.
  2. If the pin code is verified, you will get your “Login ID” and “Password” via SMS/Email.
  3. Complete “181 (Form of Registration filed voluntarily) (Income Tax)” already available in the Drafts folder on Iris.

  1. Attach the following documents, if applicable:
      • Business letter head (For business individuals only).
      • Paid utility bill of business premises not older than 3 months (For business individuals only).
      • Evidence of tenancy / ownership of business premises (For business individuals only).
  2. Submit the registration application.
  3. Check the Completed Tasks folder on Iris after 5 minutes, you will see ‘’181 (Order to grant / refuse registration on application)’’.
  4. View and Print the order.

 

New Registration of Individual for Income Tax (Resident) by visiting RTO

  1. Before visiting the nearest RTO, make sure you have the following mandatory documents:
      • Original CNIC
      • Cell phone with SIM registered against their own CNIC
      • Paid utility bill of business premises not older than 3 months (For business individuals only).
      • Evidence of tenancy / ownership of business premises (For business individuals only).
  2. The Facilitation officer verifies the above documents and starts the new registration process.
  3. Complete the “181 (Form of Registration filed voluntarily) (Income Tax)”.
  4. Scan and attach the above documents and submit the application.
  5. If verified, you will get your “Login ID” and “Password” via SMS/Email.

Facilitation Officer shall suggest the Taxpayer to get a print of “181 (Order to grant / refuse registration on application)” by logging in to his own account through the password already been issued to taxpayer on registered cell and Email. Informs the Taxpayer about use and safe custody of the password and his account.

 

New Registration of Individual for Income Tax
(Non-Resident)

  1. In order to register as a Non-Resident taxpayer you need to acquire services of an authorized representative and nominate him/her to get them register on your behalf.
  2. The authorized representative visits the relevant RTO along with the following documents:
      • Authority letter by the non-resident taxpayer.
      • Copy of valid original Passport of taxpayer.
      • Original CNIC of authorized representative.
      • Cell phone with SIM registered against representative’s own CNIC
      • Personal Email address belonging to authorized representative.
      • Evidence of tenancy / ownership of business premises (For business individuals only).
      • Paid utility bill of business premises not older than 3 months (For business individuals only).
  3. The Facilitation officer (FO) at the RTO verifies the document new registration process by completing the “181 (Form of Registration filed voluntarily) (Income Tax)”, Scan and attach the above documents and submit the application.
  4. Authorized Representative will receive the login credential on their registered contact number.

Facilitation Officer suggests the authorized representative to get a print of “181 (Order to grant / refuse registration on application)” by logging in to his own account through the password already been issued to authorized representative on registered cell and Email. Informs the representative about use and safe custody of the password.
